Your Office Visit
What to Expect on Your First Visit
front_desk.jpgA RELAXED, BUT SINCERE ATMOSPHERE. You will be welcomed with a warm smile and a cheerful hello from our office manager, Karen. She will hand you a few forms to fill out, which will help us gain important information about you. After you have completed the necessary paperwork, you will be given a tour of our office and then taken to one of the treatment rooms where you will introduced to Dr. Kurt Bailey. Relax, he's a good guy. If this is your first time seeing a chiropractor Dr. Bailey will discuss the finer points of chiropractic care and help calm any fears you may have. Then he will ask you several specific questions regarding your ailment.

After a brief discussion, you will have a complete chiropractic exam which will include orthopedic, neurologic, postural and physical examinations. If medically necessary, Dr. Bailey will request that x-rays or additional lab work be performed.

Once the questioning and examination are done. Dr. Bailey will explain to you his clinical findings in your particular case and the treatment options he feels will benefit you the most toward a speedy recovery.

If Dr. Bailey feels that chiropractic care cannot help you, he will refer you to the type of provider most likely to be of assistance.

TREATMENT in Dr. Bailey's office is unique, he feels that each individual should receive personalized, individualized attention, following his motto "Quality care with a personal touch".

Each individual will receive physiotherapy (moist heat, ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, microcurrent etc.) and massage to help relax the muscles before the adjustment.

For the adjustment, several different techniques may be utilized including DIVERSIFIED and/ or ACTIVATOR TECHNQUE. Generally an adjustment is a light force directed into the spine at a specific angle and pressure to relieve and eliminate spinal nerve stress.

Your initial visit will usually last about 45 minutes to an hour. If you arrive a few minutes early to complete the paperwork, it will help ease this time.

What to Expect on Follow Up Visits
front_door.jpgWhen you choose to continue your chiropractic care your follow up visits will last approximately 20 - 30 minutes and will be similar to the treatment protocol of the first visit. There will be a short question and answer period to see how the prior visit went, a follow up spinal exam and then treatment.

Treatment will follow basically the same protocol as in the initial exam. Each individual will receive physiotherapy (moist heat, ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Microcurrent etc.) and massage to help relax your muscles before the adjustment.

Several different techniques may be utilized for the adjustment, including DIVERSIFIED and / or ACTIVATOR TECHNIQUE. Generally an adjustment is a light force directed into the spine at a specific angle and pressure to relieve and eliminate spinal nerve stress.

If requested Dr. Bailey will eliminate the therapy and massage, but he feels it is very beneficial in the healing process as it speeds up recovery time.
