I was born and raised in the Yakima and Spokane valleys. I grew up on a small fruit farm of grapes, pears and apples and later worked on and operated several other farms. After finishing high school, I continued my education at Brigham Young University where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology (Health Care) and for one and a half years I played goalie on the soccer team.
I then moved to Portland, OR to attend chiropractic school at Western States Chiropractic College. Life in Portland was a lot of fun, I met my wife (who was from Lewiston), received my second Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology and my Doctorate degree in Chiropractic Health Care.
Although I enjoyed Portland, I am glad to be back in a town the size of Lewiston and back to a farming area. Lewiston is a great place to live.
To better serve my patients and because I feel that continuing my education is important, I am currently working on a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition. How did I become interested in chiropractic health care:
After two years of college, I decided that a career in either Veterinary Science or Optometry was not for me. Still wanting to be involved in health care and not satisfied with the options available, a friend suggested I look into Chiropractic Health Care. Instantly I thought "No way, I'm not going to be a witch doctor" even though I had never been to a chiropractor before.
Through constant urging of my friend, I visited his chiropractor. It was great. The style and quality of care given to each patient was exactly what I had been looking for. I began to visit every chiropractic office I could (I still do this to learn ways to better serve my patients) and I began to read everything I could find about the pros and cons of chiropractic care.
I quickly learned that chiropractic care, manipulation and therapy helps thousands of people every day.
